Windows 7 USB Installation Tutorial

This tutorial provides steps for installing Windows 7 using a USB drive. No CD is required, only a USB flash drive with at least 4GB of storage and a Windows 7 ISO file.

Steps for Windows 7 USB Installation:

  1. Download the Windows 7 Ultimate ISO 32 Bit / 64 Bit. If you do not have a Windows 7 image, you can download the free Windows 7 Ultimate ISO.
  2. Download the Windows 7 USB Tool, a Microsoft tool to make the USB drive bootable.
  3. After downloading the Windows 7 USB Tool, open the program from your programs list.
  4. Click the Browse button and navigate to the path where your Windows ISO file is located.
  5. Select the Windows 7 ISO file and click Open.
  6. From the options, click on USB Device.
  7. From the drop-down box, select the letter of your USB pen drive (e.g., H:, I:, or G:) and then click Begin copying. After the process is completed, the USB drive will be bootable.
  8. Turn off your computer and plug in the USB drive. Turn on your PC and boot from the USB drive.

New Method: 100% Working & Tested

  1. Plug in your pen drive into the USB flash port.
  2. To make a Windows boot disk (Windows XP/7), select NTFS as the file system from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on the button that looks like a DVD drive, which is next to the checkbox that says “Create bootable disk using.”
  4. Choose the XP ISO file.
  5. Click Start.
  6. Done!
